MysticLens is an entertainment app for face-reading and optional birth-time fortune reports. We design the app to process face camera data locally whenever possible and to avoid storing original face images.
Data We Process
Camera and Face Detection
MysticLens uses your device camera to detect a face and estimate facial landmarks for the scan experience. Camera frames are processed in memory on your device through Google ML Kit Face Detection.
MysticLens does not upload, save, or share original camera photos or videos. Camera frames are used only during the scan session and are released after processing.
Local Scan History
When a scan completes, MysticLens stores the generated entertainment report, scores, tags, timestamps, and a simplified face fingerprint on your device. This is used for scan history and short-term caching so the same face and gender selection can reopen a recent result.
This scan history is stored locally on your device using SQLite. It is not synced to a MysticLens account because the app does not require an account.
Local scan history remains on your device until you clear it in the app or delete the app. Cached matching is intended for recent scans only and is not used to identify or authenticate you.
Optional Destiny Report
The destiny report is optional. If you choose to use it, you may enter a name, gender, birth date, and birth time. MysticLens calculates the four pillars locally, then sends the following data to the MysticLens Cloudflare Worker for generation through Cloudflare AI Gateway and Google AI Studio Gemini:
- Name you entered
- Gender selection
- Birth date and time you entered
- Calculated four pillars
When a report is generated from the standalone Destiny Analysis entry, MysticLens does not send face-analysis data. If a future scan-enhanced entry is used, the request may also include local face scan summary, scores, tags, and palace/radar values.
MysticLens does not send original face photos or videos for this report.
MysticLens uses the remote response to show the requested report in the app and stores generated destiny reports locally in SQLite so they can appear in history and be shared again. Saved destiny history includes the entered name, gender, birth date/time, generated report, and timestamp. We do not create a MysticLens account or sync a copy of the report to a MysticLens database. The Worker receives a locally generated install identifier for quota control. Cloudflare and Google may process request, diagnostic, safety, or performance data according to their own service terms and privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
MysticLens uses:
- Google ML Kit Face Detection for on-device face detection
- MysticLens Cloudflare Worker for optional report-generation requests
- Cloudflare AI Gateway for routing the Worker’s AI requests
- Google AI Studio Gemini for optional report generation
- Platform sharing services when you choose to share a report card
These services may process technical request, diagnostic, or performance data according to their own policies.
What We Do Not Do
MysticLens does not:
- Require account registration
- Upload or store face photos or videos
- Sell personal data
- Use data for third-party advertising tracking
- Make medical, financial, legal, employment, credit, insurance, or other professional decisions
Your Choices
You can:
- Deny camera permission
- Skip the optional destiny report
- Avoid entering a name or birth time
- Clear local scan and destiny report history in the app
- Reset the in-app privacy notice from the Profile screen
- Delete the app to remove app-local data from your device
